Lawrence E. Conway started playing trumpet in 1967 and began studying trumpet privately with Anthony Pasquarelli in 1970. he is a 1972 graduate of Northgate High School and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Music Education in 1977 where he studied trumpet with Dr. William Becker and Dr. Calvin Weber. While at IUP, he performed in the University Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Marching Band, Mellowmen Jazz Ensemble, IUP Symphony Orchestra in addition to playing in pit orchestras for several opera and musical theater productions. After graduation, he taught privately and played in several popular musical groups in the Pittsburgh area. He continued studying privately with Anthony Pasquarelli from 1988-1998 and again from 2004 to the present. He currently plays in the cornet section with the Allegheny Brass band and is a member of the praise band at North Park E.P. Church.   Larry is currently store manager of Johnstonbaugh’s Music in Gibsonia.
