Joshua A. Meyer is a past student of Ford City High School where he was in the Ford City Chorus under the direction of Mrs. Kathy M. Valasek. He received his B.S. in Music Education from IUP in 2003 and his M.Ed. in Education from IUP in 2007. Mr. Meyer studied privately with Dr. Sarah J. Mantel during his tenure at IUP. While at IUP he was also a part of the Chamber Singers, University Chorale, and the University Chorus under the direction of James Dearing. He has taught senior level choirs, 7th grade general music, music appreciation, and life skills music at Ford City High School for 4 years. Mr. Meyer was a member of the Blazingstar Chorale from 2005-2006. He also has served as piano accompanist at the First Church of the Nazarene for eight years and at Faith Biblical Institute for three years. He is a member of the Music Educators National Conference and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. His students consistently qualify and participate in the PA Region-State Chorus and the All-State Chorus sponsored by the PA Music Educators Association. His interests include serving as a Manorville council member, gardening/landscaping, and river sports. He and his wife Heather live in Manorville, PA and are expecting a daughter in June.< xml="true" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" prefix="o" namespace="">
